Hummingbird - U.S. Drone With 1.8 Gigapixel Camera
The U.S. Army is working along with Boeing on its new spy drone known as Hummingbird that has super powerful camera of 1.8 gigapixel. Let me tell you that thousands megapixels create a single gigapixel, which is quite a large difference. So now you can expect the quality of the video of an 1.8 gigapixel camera. The Hummingbird drone is a VTOL-UAS (vertical take-off and landing unmanned aerial system) that can scan 25 square miles of ground surface and more importantly it doesn't require longer runways to start its flight, which makes it a perfect spy drone.
ARGUS sensor suite from DARPAis one of the most crucial equipment of Hummingbird that can capture high-resolution video in real-time to create high-resolution mosaic images and video with extreme accuracy. At the moment this drone is in testing phase, but sooner it will be the part of the U.S. Army.
