How To Configure A Static IP And Manual DHCP On An iPhone/iPad

Internet connectivity is very common nowadays in mobile devices, especially with the feature of WLAN one can easily connect to the available Wi-Fi networks. Most of the Wi-Fi networks required IP addresses to be configured automatically, but in some cases you have to assign static IP address or DHCP information to connect to a particular Wi-Fi network. Configuration of the static IP address and DHCP information in iOS is quite easy just like in other operating systems.

Below are the steps of assigning a static IP address or manual DHCP to an iPhone or iPad.
  1. First of all navigate to “Settings” and tap on “General”.
  2. Now tap on “Wi-Fi” and connect to a particular network that you need to connect by taping the arrow next to the name of that network.
  3. You need to tap the “Static” tab to assign the DHCP information or static IP address on your iPhone or iPad.
  4. At last close the Settings and open the Safari browser to check the network connectivity.
