Internet connectivity is very common nowadays in mobile
devices, especially with the feature of WLAN one can easily connect to the
available Wi-Fi networks. Most of the Wi-Fi networks required IP addresses to
be configured automatically, but in some cases you have to assign static IP
address or DHCP information to connect to a particular Wi-Fi network.
Configuration of the static IP address and DHCP information in iOS is quite
easy just like in other operating systems.
- First of all navigate to “Settings” and tap on “General”.
- Now tap on “Wi-Fi” and connect to a particular network that you need to connect by taping the arrow next to the name of that network.
- You need to tap the “Static” tab to assign the DHCP information or static IP address on your iPhone or iPad.
- At last close the Settings and open the Safari browser to check the network connectivity.
