How to Download and Install iOS 6

Apple has already started to show up for its latest product, i.e. iPhone 5 and everybody nowadays desires to have it. However, if you can't afford to buy iPhone 5 and still want to enjoy the attractive environment of iOS 6 then you can easily switch to this amazing OS using your current device. Whether it's your iPad, iPod or iPhone, you can easily install iOS 6 by following these simple steps as it is compatible with all the recent iOS devices. There are mainly two ways to do so.

How To Install iOS 6 Via Over The Air (OTA) Update:

• This is probably the easiest method to install iOS 6. All you need to do is go to Settings > General >Software Update.
• Consequently you should be able to see iOS 6 listed on your device with “Download and Install” button located below it. Just tap the button.
• Agree to the Apple’s terms and conditions. Just remember that your device battery doesn’t run out of power during the update process as it may cause some serious problems to your device memory.
• Soon after your device ends up with the installation process, it will get restarted which is nothing to worry about. However, I found it a bit slow process as it required nearly 45 minutes to get downloaded and installed.
• And here you go! Your upgraded iOS 6 is welcoming you with its appealing LOCK screen.

How To Install iOS 6 Via iTunes:

• According to my experience, this method is relatively faster than the aforementioned one. You just need to upgrade your iTunes to the recent version which is iTunes 10.7. Just open up your iTunes, click iTunes>Check for the updates to install the recent versions.
• Soon after you upgrade to the latest version of iTunes, connect your device to your workstation.
• Click on your device under the “Device header” on the left pane and check for the latest updates.
• An alert window would pop up to inform you about the latest version of iOS available for your device. Click the “Download and Update” button. If you are in need of your phone or device urgently, you can simply click “Download only” button and install it later when you get free.
• Click through the next few screens informing you about the features of this latest OS. Agree to the terms and conditions applied by Apple.
• Keep your device remained connected until it gets restarted. You will need to go through some more setup screens soon after restarting.
• Great! You have now successfully installed iOS 6 on your iOS device.
