How To Add Shutdown Button To Windows 8

Windows 8 is entirely a fresh look of Microsoft Windows Operating system comprising vibrant themes and dynamic user interface, best of what Microsoft has provided by far.  Subsisting tiles allow users to have a sneak peek of their apps without needing them to be launched. This surprising change would take some time to be recognized by the users but that is quite adoptable when the features are giving bigger than the expectations.

One of the major changes that have taken place with Windows 8 is the unavailability of “Shut Down” button unlike the previous Windows. The new change now requires you to roll over the mouse on the bottom-right pane to reach the Charms Bar for shutting down the system. However, this can be also done via Windows+C shortcut key. Most of you might not like this change as the prior setting was more comfortable and everybody is well-familiar with that. No worries, you can customize the settings very easily on your Windows 8 system by applying the following method:
  1. Create a shortcut by right clicking the screen. Go to "New"> "Shortcut".
  2. Enter "Shutdown.exe --s --a 00" (without quotes) in the location of the item.
  3. When you are asked to type the location of the item just enter the following address,
  4. Now, Click “Next”. Name this shortcut as “Shutdown” and then simply click “Finish”.
  5. You can also customize this icon by navigating through “Properties”.
  6. Finally, Pin it to Start.

This way you can easily avail the fresh look while keeping the old shutdown setting remain intact in  the latest Windows 8.
