How To Get Yourself Secured Against iPhone Thefts (Tips And Tricks)

With the increasing rate of crime, keeping iPhone devices secured is becoming a challenge for gadget freaks. Locking your iPhone devices with passcode was a good solution but it seems that stealers are now smart enough to figure out the pass codes making it as easy as riding a bike. You can find some useful tips and tricks below to get yourself protected from being burgled by such crooks.

Just try to make it hard for robbers to guess your passcode. Following are some tips and tricks that can help you do this:
  • Do not choose any significant dates or digits that can be easily tracked for e.g. your car number, date of birth, numbers presenting your names etc.
  • Try to use any alpha-numeric pass code for your phone as it is difficult to guess such combination of digits. All you need to do is go to “Settings”> "General"> "Pass code Lock"> Switch off the Simple pass code mode and enter an alpha-numeric one.
  • Avoid using the numbers that make shapes such as 1397 makes up a square, and 8624 makes up a diamond.
  • Pass codes such as 0000, 1234, or 5683 i.e. “LOVE” are quite common and should be avoided.
  • Avoid Siri to bypass in locked mode. Here bypassing means that you have allowed Siri access even if your phone is locked. Just disable Siri by going to Settings > General> Pass code Lock and Turn Siri off.

Other than this, you can also switch on your “Find My iPhone” option in order to keep a track of your iPhone set. This will also enable you to access your phone remotely and delete all the critical information before the robbers gain the chance to bypass the pass code however this is only possible until they don’t turn the phone off and sell out its parts.
