How To Turn Off NFC On Your Android Phone To Save Battery

Android NFC
Running out of your phone battery in middle of your important discussion, sometimes can frustrate you. Most of the smartphones like Android sets are seen to give limited amount of battery power as they have been incorporated with some high-powered applications that consume a lot of power. NFC stands for Near Field Communication is one of such kinds of apps. As every problem has its solution, Geeky Portal brings you an easy way to save your Android phone’s battery by turning off NFC if it is of no use to you.

Turn off NFC
  1. Start off by opening the “Applications” icon.
  2. Scroll down to look for “Settings”.
  3. Tap “More” option under the “Wireless and Networks” section.
  4. Search for the “NFC” option. This option is enabled by default.
  5. Uncheck the checkbox to disable the service.
  6. And it is done. You can go back to your “Home” screen.

Note: The above mentioned steps can vary a little bit with versions of Android on your running device.

Undeniably, NFC is a great tool to make smart payments and checking in on the services offered by FourSqaure. However this useful service costs on the battery life of the device which is indeed a drawback of this application. The users, who make use of this service on their daily basis, can keep the option enabled but those who hardly know its use and significance can put it to the disabled mode. I guess the opportunity of cost should be measured by the end-users analyzing their needs and demands.
