How To Customize TLD Option On iPhone

Many iOS users, around the world, would be well-aware of the amazing Top Level Domain (TLD) feature offered by Safari. For those who haven’t tried the function till yet, TLD is an iOS feature that facilitates users to reach the desired website without having them typed the URL. If you do not want to waste your precious time on typing those long, tiring URLs then TLD is surely made for you.

Apple iOS devices usually come with default settings for TLD that include .com, .us, .org and .net domains. However, you can easily alter these settings for the websites from different locations and regions, across the globe. All you need to do is play a bit with the respective keyboards on your iOS device.

1. Firstly, go to “Settings” -> “General”-> “International”.
2. Select “Keyboards”. Then choose “Add new Keyboard”.
3. Select the desired country corresponding to the TLD. For instance, add English UK for .ie, .eu, and .co.uk to get the European websites.
4. Exit out of the “Settings” menu.
5. Now test the settings by opening the Safari browser.
6. Tap the URL bar. It will bring up the keyboard, having TLD option.
7. Finally, tap and hold “.com” and you will see the updated list of domains for the desired regions.

This should be noted that some regions are restricted with this amazing facility such as Indonesia. It seems Apple hasn’t added the domains for all the countries.
