How To Block In-App Purchases On Android

Android developers can easily implement game app purchases ranging from new levels of a game to virtual add-ones and game items as Android apps can be easily sold out on Google Play Store without any legal hassles and formalities.

Within just a story of few clicks, you can easily make these purchases for your favorite game. However, you can limit yourself from making these app purchases, as these purchases have turned out to be more expensive than most of the full price apps. In case if your children go crazy after these expensive game purchases, lock them up by following these easy steps:
  1. Launch Google Play Store on your Android set.
  2. Press the menu button and select “Settings” from the options.
  3. You will see the option as “Use Pin for purchases”. The option may vary on different versions of the Play Store.
  4. If you see it as “Disabled”, change it, and tap on it to enter a pin. This means every time you are going to make a purchase, your account will ask you for the saved pin.
  5. Finally, you need to enter a password that is required to be entered before any in-app purchase is made.

While entering the password for the authorization to purchase, it should be noted that you won’t be asked to enter your password again within a time frame of 30 minutes. Moreover, you can also disable the password protection, anytime using the same setting menu.
