The concept of hydrogen-operated cars seemed to be a dream in the past. However, thanks to the advancements made by automobile engineers and experts as now one can live the dream to own a hydrogen-powered car easily.
The famous Paris Auto show held recently, not only showcased the battery-powered vehicles, but also they highlighted hydrogen-powered cars for the viewers in the display. The exciting part that attracted most of the viewers to the show was the test drive facility offered by the leading automobile vendors including the popular Hyundai.
Many automobile vendors have shown to develop the new interest as the technology to convert hydrogen to electricity and the related vulnerabilities have been largely prevailed. Simultaneously, the electronic vehicles operated through batteries as compared to the fuel cells have been observed to gain reduced sales because of their high ranging prices.
The concept of hydrogen powered cars is appealing in a variety of ways and one of them is the reduction of fossil fuel consumption. The exceeding use of fuel and petrol is one of the major contributors to the increasing global warming. Therefore, many leading automobile companies are investing in the similar area for instance, Nissan which is one of the top internationally recognized electric vehicle vendor, had also displayed its most powerful fuel-cell SUV as theme car in Paris show.
As per the poll conducted in 2012, most of the electric car buyers are likely to prefer having fuel-cell cars rather than battery-powered cars in the near future which can be beneficial to overcome the warming issues on a large-scale.
