Being an Instagram lover, you would definitely want to enjoy those live camera filters that have been recently removed from the iPhone 5 update of Instagram application. The Instagram developers felt that live camera filters in the prior versions were a bit upsetting and it doesn’t make any sense of applying filters in pre-shooting mode when you can do the same thing after capturing a picture. Therefore, they discarded the feature claiming that it is nothing but just a waste of time. However, most of the Instagram users still want to get the live filters back in the app as they used to get earlier. Well, here’s a useful method that you can apply repeatedly to get it done.
- Press the camera button located in the center of the app’s bottom bar in order to start Instagram camera.
- Tap on the “Gallery” button in the bottom left pane.
- Now select any of the images from your iPhone’s gallery and open it via Instagram’s viewer by selecting the button “Choose”.
- Simply tap on the red colored cross in the bottom bar soon after you able to see the image in app’s viewer
- This will make you go back to the iPhone’s original image gallery but don’t select another image. Just press the “Cancel” button.
This loading and removing of image via Instagram camera will make you remain in the capture mode along with the live camera filters showing at the bottom of your app. However, this trick only works with iPhone 5 as other versions of iOS already have this feature for Instagram application.
