Apple iPhone 5 vs Nokia Lumia 920

Apple iPhone 5 has been recently released and there is a lot of consumer interest for it, beside it Nokia has also wrapped off its Lumia 920 and added it into the race of other competing smartphone including iPhone 5. Let us have a quick look over the contrasting features of both Lumia 920 and iPhone 5 to judge which one is going to capture the market.

Design:
As far as Design is concerned, the shinning polycarbonate and glass with vibrant use of colors, Lumia 920 surely takes over the traditional looking iPhone 5 which comes with Black or White skin color. But the size factor of iPhone 5 definitely makes it on the lead with just 4.87 x 2.31 x 0.30 inches HWD and 3.95 ounces. Whereas, Lumia 920 is measured at 5.12 x 2.78 x 0.42 inches HWD with 6.52 ounces which is not very appealing for the users who like portability at its best.

Operating System:
Apple has launched iPhone 5 with it latest operating environment i.e. iOS 6 while Lumia 920 comes with Microsoft’s upcoming Windows Phone 8 OS.

Camera:
The most appealing feature within a device that people start making comparisons is camera specification. The iPhone 5 still offers 8 mega-pixels with 40% faster sensor. The noise reduction and low-light performance has been enhanced this time and it lets the user to capture continuous, high resolution panoramas up to 28 mp. On the other hand Lumia 920 is provided with extra-ordinary camera feature which offers 8.7 mp sensor with Nokia’s PureView technology. The camera can take up to 5 to 10 times the light more than any other rivalry smartphone cameras through its excellent floating lens technology that works like most of the DSLR’s. On the camera side, Lumia 920 is for sure a winner however, its hype got a bit dull after the fake camera demo incident at the Lumia 920 press event.

So, I'm sure most of the people reading this post would have made their minds to choose the best.
