How To: Change Metro UI Color, Account Picture, And Lock Screen Picture In Windows 8

Microsoft released a consumer preview of the Windows 8 a few days ago, which is quite hot among the computer geeks because of its Metro User Interface. Some technology enthusiasts mentioning Metro UI as a very bold step from the Microsoft, as the company total focus is now for the devices that have touch functionality, and to me this is quite a good move from the Microsoft because our future is touch devices and there is no ambiguity in it. Although some users are finding Metro UI and Windows 8 tough to use, so I thought that why don't give users some basic tips about the Windows 8 to enhance the functionality level while using Windows 8. This post will show some basics tips that include how to change user image, lock screen image, and Metro UI color in Windows 8.

Metro Home Screen:
First of all make sure that you are on Metro Home Screen to process the things, from here you need to click the Change account picture in the drop-down menu.

Change Account Picture:
Now a new window is in front of you and from here you can change your account picture by browsing. This option will allow you to choose your picture from your stock stored on the hard drive. The other option that you can use is to take an instant snap from your webcam.

Change Lock Screen Image:
To change your Lock Screen Image you need to click on the Lock Screen option. From here you will be able to change the picture from the already available pictures or use a new picture from hard drive using the browse option.

Change Metro UI Color:
Click Start Screen to change the Metro UI color, all you need is to slide your finger or any pointing device (mouse, etc.) to select your desired color.
